Statement of Purpose

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is a unique organization of college-educated men dedicated to the worthy cause of achievement in all fields of human endeavor.  With this purpose in mind, the Columbus Alumni Chapter during the past forty-three years has sought to identify and fiscally support local young men either entering college or deserving active chapter members in need of support.

Please read the application very carefully.  The information submitted will not be used for any other purpose.  Make sure every question is answered completely.  Items which are not applicable should be marked N/A.  Please be sure to attach the necessary materials (transcripts).  You may attach any other items such as recommendations at your own discretion.

Minimum Requirements

The scholarships are available to male high school seniors who will graduate in the spring of the academic year for which he is applying or current college students in an active chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. under the jurisdiction of the Columbus, Ohio Alumni Chapter.  Current college students and high school students will compete in separate divisions for scholarships.

Ø      The applicant should have passed all sections of the Ohio Proficiency Test or Ohio Graduation Test (high school applicants only).

Ø      All high school candidates must possess at least a 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Ø      All college applicants must possess at least a 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
